How to find and claim your alumni profile, what to do when something goes wrong, and how to reach a real person.
Claiming your profile
Most BHS alumni already have a profile in the directory, created from yearbooks and association records. Claiming it links it to your account so you can update it and connect with classmates. It takes about five minutes.
- Sign in with your email address (we send you a code — no password to remember) or a Google account. Use an email you've had a while if you can; it may already be in our records.
- Confirm your email if asked — a 6-digit code sent to your inbox. If the address matches our mailing records, your claim can be approved instantly.
- Find yourself in the Directory — search your name (a former or maiden name often helps) or browse your class year.
- On your profile page, press Claim this profile and fill in the short form: your graduation year, and optionally a former name, an older email address, a note, or a supporting document (kept private — reviewers only).
- Submit. Most claims are approved on the spot; if yours needs a human look, a volunteer moderator reviews it and you'll hear back within a few days. After an instant approval, messaging other alumni switches on after about a week.
Common problems
- I can't find my profile.
- Try your former name and nearby class years. If you truly aren't listed (faculty, staff, coaches, or you didn't graduate), sign in and use the contact form below — or the "Tell us about your connection" form — and we'll set you up.
- My profile is already claimed by someone else.
- Submit your claim anyway. It opens a dispute that a moderator reviews personally — profiles are never reassigned automatically. A note and a supporting document help.
- The graduation year on my profile is wrong.
- Enter your real graduation year and mention the error in the note. Your claim just goes to a moderator instead of being instant, and they can fix the year.
- My claim went to review instead of being approved instantly.
- That's normal — it happens when something needs a human look. Nothing is wrong; you'll hear back within a few days.
- It says I've made too many attempts.
- Claims are limited to a few per hour to protect the directory. Wait an hour and try again — or ask us below if you're not sure which profile is yours.
- My profile is marked In Memoriam, but I'm very much alive.
- We're sorry — records are sometimes wrong. Memorial profiles can't be claimed, so write to us below and an admin will restore your profile promptly.
- I can't sign in at all.
- Use the contact form — it works without an account. Tell us the email address you're trying to sign in with and what happens.
